24th April 2017 – Well Done Tony

He’s done it.  He’s run the London Marathon, all 26 miles, 385 yards of it.

Tony Milbery has completed his first ever marathon in the brilliant time of (around) 5 hours and in so doing has raised – when all the final donations have come in – an expected £3,000 for charity.  And the Foundation is lucky that he has chosen us as one of the two causes to benefit, thanks to a bit of badgering for his good mate Gareth Burchell.

The money will be put to very good use organising tuition and clubs for children at Rowdown School and, who knows, may give us the extra bit of momentum to spread our activities wider around New Addington, but that’s another story.

So thanks to Tony for a sterling effort.  We hope the feet are not too sore and the legs are beginning their recovery.
